The Department of Health and Wellness is inviting applications for a Stores Assistant position.

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic numeracy and literacy.

  • Appropriate experience in a stores environment.

Competencies

Applicants should have:

  • Good communication skills.

  • The ability to physically handle stock.

Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Admin Clerk with handling stock.

  • Receiving and issuing goods.

  • Delivering store stock to end-users.

  • Rotating stock using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method.

  • Cleaning stores and non-storage areas within the main stores.

  • Assisting in other stores when required.

  • Answering the telephone and handling internal queries.

Remuneration

R144,024 – R169,656 per annum

The annual salary includes applicable service benefits, such as:

  • 13th cheque.

  • Employer contribution to the pension fund.

  • Housing allowance.

  • Medical aid allowance.
