Duties and Responsibilities
Operate, Monitor and Control Plant Processes
Operate processing equipment such as pasteuriser, homogeniser and separator according to SOPs.
Monitor production processes and ensure required yield and throughput.
Assist with efficiency improvements and reduction of operating costs.
Maintain accurate production records, including production volume, yield, plant downtime and utility consumption.
Participate in plant cleanliness programmes.
Monitor the use and inventory of process chemicals and supplies.
Quality Assurance
Ensure the integrity of raw materials and products.
Work with the laboratory to support QA procedures.
Sample and test process streams as required.
Maintain QA records.
Interpret QA results and take appropriate action when required.
Maintenance and Safety
Report equipment-related problems to the Maintenance Department.
Perform preventative maintenance activities as required.
Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance-related issues.
Follow all applicable safety and operating procedures.
