Sasol is recruiting 9 Learning Practitioners to join its team in Secunda, Mpumalanga.

The Learning Practitioner will play an important role in identifying learning needs, developing learning interventions, facilitating training and conducting assessments in line with legal requirements, Sasol policies and the company's global learning strategy.
Purpose of the Job
The successful candidate will:
Identify learning and skills gaps within the business
Develop appropriate learning interventions
Design and develop learning materials
Facilitate training and workplace learning
Conduct learner assessments
Support learners in applying their skills within the workplace
Monitor learning progress and outcomes
Ensure learning activities comply with relevant legislation and Sasol requirements
Key Responsibilities
Learning Needs & Development
Identify required learning interventions and outcomes
Assess current versus required knowledge and skills
Research competency and skills gaps
Assess learner profiles and determine appropriate learning interventions
Identify critical skills gaps and recommend interventions
Develop structured learning plans aligned with the 70:20:10 learning principle
Work with employees, subject-matter experts and line managers to develop learning plans
Support line managers in evaluating employee competence
Assist business areas with gap-closing strategies
Training & Facilitation
Design, develop or select appropriate learning methodologies
Facilitate formal and workplace-based learning
Deliver learning interventions using different methodologies
Orientate learners to the application of their skills in the workplace
Guide learners through practical application projects and assignments
Support learners in effectively managing their learning experience
Facilitate face-to-face and virtual learning where required
Adapt learning programmes for learners with special needs or learning disabilities
Assessment & Moderation
Conduct assessments in accordance with applicable unit-standard requirements
Assess learners within the relevant area of expertise
Follow appropriate legislative assessment frameworks
Evaluate assessment processes against unit standards and qualifications
Conduct workplace assessments
Confirm successful completion of learning interventions
Act as an assessor or moderator where required
Learning Evaluation & Reporting
Develop appropriate methods for evaluating learning
Analyse learning and performance data
Measure improvements in job performance and knowledge transfer
Develop and monitor learning metrics and dashboards
Monitor progress against agreed learning plans
Review learning activities and submit required reports
Investigate deviations from learning plans
Agree on remedial action plans where required
Learning Material & Compliance
Develop, revise and update learning materials
Ensure learning interventions comply with Sasol learning guidelines
Implement relevant policies, processes and legislative requirements
Source and maintain information to support learners
Ensure learning activities align with Sasol's global learning strategy and frameworks
Minimum Education Requirements
Applicants must have:
National Senior Certificate / Grade 12
One of the following:
Occupational Qualification (Miner) plus Blasting Certificate, OR
Occupational Qualification (ElectroMechanic) plus Red Seal Trade Certificate
Experience Required
Minimum 2 years' relevant trade experience
