About the ECP Service Team

The ECP Service Team is primarily situated in Port Elizabeth and is one of four regional service teams.

The team takes pride in delivering excellent, world-class service to members, brokers and employer groups at every touchpoint in their journey.

Indexer

Key Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate classification, registration, routing and indexing of documentation according to required business specifications.

Areas of Responsibility

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Verifying documentation received and assessing the information provided

  • Performing general administration of documents and information

  • Continuously updating knowledge relating to Compliance, Product and Clinical requirements

  • Developing multi-skilled knowledge of other specialised environments

  • Classifying, registering, routing and indexing documentation to various service team work pools, including Health, New Business and Life

  • Working towards high daily targets where quality and quantity are measured

  • Ensuring documentation is indexed within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) timeframes

  • Drafting and sending correspondence or triggering appropriate notifications to external stakeholders

  • Working outside normal working hours when required on occasion

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric

  • Ability to capture 30 words per minute with a 60% accuracy rate

  • Good command of the English language

  • Computer literacy

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including:

    • Excel

    • Word

    • Outlook

Advantageous

  • Previous indexing experience

  • At least 1 year of administration or customer service experience in a large corporate environment

  • A proven track record of maintaining a low error rate
