Checker I
An opportunity has arisen for a Checker I to join the Safripol KZN Main Warehouse in Durban.
The successful candidate will be responsible for checking the assembling, packing, unpacking, weighing, stacking, loading, unloading, marking and addressing of goods or containers. The role also involves checking, entering and recording details of goods or containers manually or electronically.
This is an entry-level position in quality control and inventory management, with responsibility for verifying the accuracy, quality and condition of products, materials and inventory items.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4
Up to 2 years' experience in a similar role
Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
Good organisational and administrative skills
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision
Duties & Responsibilities
Stock control
Dispatch activities
Record keeping and administration
System administration
Carry out all reasonable instructions from the Supervisor
Conduct pre-loading inspections of vehicles to ensure cleanliness
Check that vehicle slides are properly closed before loading
Loading and sealing of loads
Weigh vehicles and axles to ensure legal compliance
Daily cleaning of the weighbridge and loading area
General housekeeping of the loading facility
Completion of bin stock documentation
Verify the accuracy and condition of goods and inventory
Record and maintain relevant stock and dispatch information
