Main Purpose of the Job
The Care Worker will support nursing unit staff in delivering safe and quality patient care that promotes and meets the healthcare needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities
Support and assist nursing unit staff in delivering quality patient care within a team-based approach.
Identify and report risks in accordance with hospital policies.
Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting nursing unit staff.
Provide administrative support to nursing unit staff as required.
Contribute to a learning environment that builds staff competence through continuous personal development.
Ensure required stock is used efficiently and accurately charged.
Education Requirements
Essential
Appropriate qualification as a Care Worker.
Desirable
Grade 12.
Experience Requirements
Essential
Previous experience working in a healthcare environment.
