About the Opportunity
The Youth Employment Service (YES) is part of a public-private initiative led by the Presidency to help address youth unemployment in South Africa.
Eskom is creating valuable work opportunities for unemployed young South Africans who are eager to enter the job market and gain meaningful first work experience in the energy industry.
Successful candidates will receive a 12-month contract and may be placed within Eskom Operations across different divisions and provinces in South Africa.
This is an opportunity to gain practical workplace experience, develop professional skills and take an important first step into the South African job market.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Should not have been permanently employed by a single employer continuously for more than 1 year.
Should not be studying full-time during the year of employment.
Should not have previously participated in or registered for the YES initiative.
Applicants will go through a recruitment and selection process.
Successful applicants may be placed within Eskom Operations across various divisions.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a South African citizen.
Must be between 18 and 34 years old.
Must have Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
Post-matric certificates or programmes will be considered.
