The successful candidate will assist in delivering safe, high-quality patient care by functioning as a scrub practitioner, circulator, and anaesthetic assistant under the supervision of qualified nursing staff.

Main Purpose of the Job
To function as a scrub practitioner, circulator, and anaesthetic assistant under indirect supervision of a professional nurse, while providing assistance in the recovery room under the direct supervision of a professional nurse.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care and Theatre Support
Deliver safe, quality patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Adhere to established theatre standards and procedures.
Assist with patient care throughout the peri-operative process.
Theatre Preparation
Ensure effective peri-operative preparation for allocated theatre lists.
Prepare theatre equipment, instruments, and supplies as required.
Infection Prevention and Control
Follow infection prevention and control protocols at all times.
Apply aseptic techniques to minimize clinical risks and maintain patient safety.
Equipment and Stock Management
Ensure the optimal use of theatre equipment and pharmaceutical stock.
Assist in minimizing waste and reducing financial risks through effective resource management.

Operating Department Assistance Diploma.
