About the Opportunity
Unitrans is seeking a hardworking and reliable General Worker (Cleaner) to join its Agriculture division on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across the premises, assisting with loading operations, and ensuring a safe and organized working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Loading Support
Assist drivers in safely positioning vehicles for loading.
Help with loading vehicles when required.
Ensure tanker top and bottom doors are correctly opened and closed.
Assist with decanting overloaded vehicles.
Operate loading mechanisms according to company procedures.
Cleaning and Housekeeping
Ensure outside walkways remain clean and free from debris.
Clean the entire premises regularly.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
Maintenance Support
Report any repairs or maintenance issues to building management.
Assist in maintaining a safe workplace for employees and visitors.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 11 or lower qualification.
Medically fit.
Clean criminal record.
Must have reliable transport to and from work.
Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Able to work at heights.
Physically fit and capable of walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout working hours.
Able to follow instructions from supervisors.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good organizational skills.
Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without constant supervision.
