Main Purpose of the Job

To perform general maintenance tasks on buildings and equipment, ensuring that all assets are maintained in their original working condition.

Key Responsibilities

Execute technical maintenance and repair tasks as requested.
Identify, monitor, and control potential risks within the technical environment of the hospital.
Coordinate and supervise work performed by on-site contractors.
Perform administrative duties for the Technical Department.
Foster and maintain strong stakeholder and client relationships.

Education Requirements

Essential: Grade 10 or equivalent technical vocational qualification
Desired: Grade 12

Certification

Essential: None
Desired: Code B Driver’s Licence

Experience Requirements

Essential: 5 years of experience in general building and equipment maintenance
Desired: None

Required Skills and Knowledge

Practical skills and understanding of building maintenance tasks
Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OHS Act, ISO standards)
Ability to perform general equipment repairs
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Familiarity with Planned Maintenance Systems
