Job Purpose
The Junior Warehouse Controller will support the efficient operation of the warehouse by ensuring that spare parts are accurately received, recorded, stored, issued and distributed to the required locations.
The successful candidate will also assist with stock counts, ERP updates, shipping documentation, warehouse housekeeping and general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse and Stock Control
Assist with weekly cycle counts across warehouses as required.
Draw and issue spare parts from the main warehouse.
Ensure accurate records are maintained for all spare-part movements.
File and maintain all relevant warehouse documentation.
Update the stock ERP (SAM) to reflect all applicable stock movements.
Ensure stock records remain accurate and up to date.
Monitor and control access to the warehouse at all times.
Maintain daily warehouse housekeeping standards.
Spare Parts Distribution
Direct spare parts to outstations, hangars and airports where required.
Deliver spare parts to various hangars.
Attend to requests for spares received via email, telephone and WhatsApp.
Ensure spare parts are issued accurately and timeously.
Coordinate the movement of parts between required locations.
Shipping and Documentation
Prepare shipping documentation for spare parts.
Package parts in accordance with approved Work Instructions.
Ensure all documentation relating to the movement and shipment of parts is accurate and complete.
Update Flow Centric in accordance with SAM when parts are received or dispatched.
Ensure all warehouse and shipping records are properly maintained.
General Warehouse Duties
Perform general warehouse duties as instructed by the supervisor.
Assist with maintaining an organised and safe warehouse environment.
Follow established warehouse procedures and Work Instructions.
Ensure operational requirements are attended to efficiently.
Perform ad-hoc duties and tasks as requested by management.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent – Essential.
C1/B driver's licence – Essential.
Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a warehousing environment – Essential.
Willingness to work shifts – Essential.
Willingness to travel – Essential.
Own transport.
A valid Forklift Licence will be advantageous.
A valid EB driver's licence will be advantageous.
A valid passport will be advantageous.
