JOB PURPOSE

To provide effective human resource administration services and assist with the implementation of recruitment, conditions of service, performance management and termination processes.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Human Resource Administration

  • Implement human resource administration practices relating to:

    • Recruitment and selection.

    • Vacancy advertisements.

    • Appointments.

    • Transfers.

    • Verification of qualifications.

    • Secretariat functions during interviews.

    • Absorptions.

    • Probationary periods.

    • Other related HR administration processes.

Conditions of Service

  • Implement and administer conditions of service, including:

    • Leave.

    • Housing.

    • Medical benefits.

    • Injury on Duty (IOD).

    • Long Service Recognition.

    • Overtime.

    • Relocation.

    • Pension.

    • Allowances.

    • PILIR and related HR processes.

Performance Management

  • Assist with the implementation and administration of the Performance Management System (PMS).

  • Maintain relevant performance management records and documentation.

Termination of Service

  • Process and administer termination-of-service matters in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

  • Ensure that relevant documentation and records are properly maintained.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification.

  • Computer literacy.

  • A qualification in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage.

  • Valid driver's licence, except for persons with disabilities.

  • Human resource administration practices and procedures.

  • Information systems.

  • Conditions of service.

  • Recruitment and selection processes.

  • Analytical thinking skills.

  • Basic understanding of financial management principles.
