Job Description
Fidelity Services Group is seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill two Overactive Technician positions based in Johannesburg Central. The successful candidates will be responsible for attending to problematic alarm systems, identifying the root causes of false alarm activations, and providing customers with effective and reliable security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Consult with customers to understand their alarm system requirements and security needs.
Assess existing alarm systems and identify performance shortcomings.
Investigate and determine the root causes of false alarm activations.
Recommend and implement suitable solutions to reduce false alarm incidents.
Provide professional advice on new technologies and equipment that may improve system performance.
Maintain high service standards by ensuring:
Battery checks on every site visit.
Signal testing on every call.
Accurate fault finding and troubleshooting.
Neat and professional wiring practices.
Correct system programming.
Proper equipment placement.
Accurate billing without overcharging or undercharging.
Take ownership of customer issues until the false alarm problem has been fully resolved.
Minimum Requirements
PSIRA Registration – Grade C.
Valid Driver’s Licence.
3–5 years of technical experience within the security industry.
Strong fault-finding skills with experience on IDS and DSC alarm panels.
Technical High School qualification (advantageous).
Tertiary qualification in Electronics or Electronic Engineering (advantageous).
