Job Overview
Fidelity Cash Solutions is recruiting for a Custodian to join its operations team in Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, transportation, replenishment, and management of cash in ATMs, as well as ensuring the secure return of deposits and retained cards to the relevant cash centre.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Collection and Management
Collect pre-packed cash from the counting house as instructed.
Verify cash accuracy according to company procedures.
Report and escalate any discrepancies immediately.
Take full responsibility for all cash under your control.
ATM Replenishment and Servicing
Replenish ATMs with cash and stationery.
Follow all ATM loading and alarm deactivation procedures.
Conduct cash verification before loading.
Perform dispense tests and ensure ATM functionality.
Return unused cash to the cash centre in accordance with procedures.
Transportation and Security
Ensure the safe transportation of cash to and from ATMs.
Adhere to all security protocols during cash-in-transit operations.
Utilise approved Cross Pavement Carriers (CPCs) within prescribed limits.
Report faulty security equipment immediately.
Deposits and Retained Cards
Remove and process retained cards and deposit envelopes.
Verify deposits against system records.
Secure deposits in approved stop-loss bags.
Return deposits and retained cards to the relevant banking institutions.
ATM Maintenance Support
Conduct first-line technical support where required.
Identify and report technical faults.
Log service calls for unresolved ATM issues.
Assist and supervise authorised technicians during maintenance work.
Site Security
Ensure ATM safes and cubicles are properly secured after servicing.
Report faulty locks, alarms, or security concerns.
Maintain accurate records of all ATM servicing activities.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
Previous ATM operating and maintenance experience.
Teller experience will be advantageous.
