Purpose of the Role
The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic school environment. The role supports the school’s operations by ensuring all classrooms, offices, and facilities are kept in excellent condition.
Minimum Requirements
Experience in a similar cleaning or housekeeping role
Fluency in English is essential
Ability to maintain professionalism at all times
Must have appropriate right to work in South Africa
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Key Responsibilities
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
Cleaning classrooms, offices, and other campus areas
Dusting furniture, ceilings, and light fittings
Sanitising toilets, sinks, and kitchen areas
Emptying bins and managing waste disposal
Cleaning windows and general surfaces
Reporting broken equipment or maintenance issues
Liaising with supervisors regarding cleaning stock and supplies
Assisting with school events and functions when required
Following holiday cleaning schedules during school breaks
