Purpose of the Job
A multi-skilled operator supporting various glass processing operations in the EdgeShop and Screen Line areas, ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Glass Finishing & Processing:
-
Buff out cosmetic scratches
-
Assist in polishing, arissing, drilling, and screen line work
-

Quality & Safety:
-
Ensure proper handling and packing of products
-
Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping protocols
-
Report breakages or defects to the Team Leader
-
-
Equipment & Tools:
-
Clean and maintain machinery and equipment
-
Safely store tools
-
Report mechanical issues
-
-
Documentation & Standards:
-
Read and interpret job cards, labels, and 2D drawings
-
Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
-

Additional:
-
Operate overhead crane when required
-
Job Requirements
Qualifications
-
Grade 12 (Matric)
Skills and Knowledge
-
Understanding of mechanical/electrical systems (especially cutting machines)
-
Proficient with measuring tools and numerical analysis
-
Ability to interpret technical drawings
-
Basic computer literacy
-
Strong attention to detail and urgency

Experience

Minimum 1 year in a glass processing environment
