Main Purpose of the Role
To respond to emergency calls and provide basic medical care within the defined Basic Life Support (BLS) scope of practice.

Ensure readiness for emergency medical calls

Deliver patient care aligned with the BLS scope of practice and applicable regulations

Represent ER24 positively and support its public image
Education Requirements
-
Essential: Basic Ambulance Assistant (BAA) Certificate
-
Desired: Training in Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

If not yet compliant, you’ll be required to complete the necessary training during your probation period if hired.

Experience Requirements

Minimum Required: 6 months to 1 year of road experience in a BLS role

Preferred: 2 years of road BLS experience
Required Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of EMS environments and operations

Familiarity with the local area, travel routes, and facilities

Knowledge of HPCSA scope of practice and best practices

Proficient in written and spoken English
