Purpose of the Role
To coordinate and direct maintenance and repair activities for a specific production process by operating control panels and performing advanced troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities

Provide regular feedback to the supervisor on work progress

Participate in safety risk assessments in line with legislation and company policy
-
Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to waste disposal standards
-
Work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
-
Understand business operations, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
-
Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
-
Participate in shift handovers to ensure smooth operations
-
Identify personal development needs and incorporate them into a Personal Development Plan (PDP)
-
Provide on-the-job coaching to learners and junior employees
-
Deliver presentations on specific plant equipment
-
Conduct IMS inspections to support plant sustainability
-
Function effectively in a team environment
-
Take a lead role in emergency situations to restore operations
-
Communicate daily issues and feedback to team members and other departments
-
Contribute ideas during toolbox talks to promote safety
Educational Requirements
-
Occupational Trade Qualification or Certificate
Experience Required
-
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar industrial or chemical plant environment
Key Skills and Competencies

Strong understanding of production processes and risk management

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Ability to manage complexity and drive results

Familiarity with equipment utilization and safety systems
