Role Purpose:
Promote and sell Sandvik’s products/services in a specific region or product range by applying effective sales processes and tools to meet significant sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and engage prospects; deliver presentations
-
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for customers
-
Maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients
-
Drive sales in Top Hammer and Down the Hole (DTH) drilling
-
Forecast stock needs with customers
-
Collaborate with senior reps and technical specialists to grow skills and close orders
-
Maintain accurate CRM/database records
-
Develop understanding of machining practices and modern tooling systems
-
Assist with product testing and technical analysis
-
Gather competitive and technical data to support sales pitches
Minimum Requirements:
-
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
-
Post-matric qualification (advantageous)
-
At least 5 years’ sales & marketing experience, especially in mining
-
2+ years in various mining applications
-
Experience with Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM)
-
Exposure to rock tools and mining environments
-
Medically and physically fit for mine work
-
Valid driver’s license
-
English proficiency
-
Computer literate
