Job Purpose:

To achieve monthly new vehicle sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships with clients. This role requires proactive business development and customer engagement.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets

  • Grow and retain the existing customer base

  • Proactively seek new sales opportunities and revenue streams

  • Evaluate trade-in vehicles accurately

  • Handle customer escalations and ensure effective resolutions

  • Conduct cold calls and prospecting to build a client base

  • Stay informed on market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity

  • Negotiate deals and close sales confidently

  • Ensure all administrative and dealership procedures are followed

  • Maintain strong product knowledge and promote the brand image professionally


Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in vehicle sales

  • Code 8 Driver’s Licence

  • Computer literate

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets


Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building

  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills

  • Confident in cold calling and lead generation

  • Good understanding of dealership operations and policies

  • Knowledge of Higher Gear CRM system (advantageous)

  • Fluent in commonly spoken local languages (advantageous)

  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills

  • Professional, well-presented, and goal-driven

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and emotional intelligence skills

You're a self-starting sales professional with motor industry experience who thrives on targets, enjoys building client relationships, and knows how to drive deals from lead to close. Product knowledge and dealership operations familiarity will give you an edge.
