Main Purpose of the Job

To grow sales volumes of building glass products by securing new business, expanding local accounts, and leveraging joint marketing opportunities. The role involves account management, customer engagement, and deal implementation to drive sales, deliver customer satisfaction, and ensure proper execution of local and national deals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling and relationship building

  • Grow existing local accounts through cross-selling and upselling initiatives

  • Manage customer pricing, contracts, and ensure deal files are audit-ready and up to date

  • Serve as the main liaison between PG Glass and the local broker/dealer network

  • Attend customer and industry events to promote PG Glass visibility

  • Handle queries and assist in the resolution of overdue accounts

  • Ensure effective deal implementation at local Fitment Centres

  • Communicate market intelligence and lead opportunities to relevant internal stakeholders

  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of local promotions, pricing, and marketing initiatives

  • Maintain strong administrative records to support deal continuity and customer satisfaction


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience in the building glass or aluminium industry, with a strong focus on cold calling and field sales

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Advanced selling, negotiation, and presentation abilities

  • High proficiency in time management, planning, and organising

  • Basic numerical and computer literacy

  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities

  • Knowledge of the glass and aluminium product environment is advantageous
