Main Purpose of the Job
To ensure that all equipment, plant, building infrastructure, and services remain functional, safe, and cost-effective by maintaining them in their original state.
Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of technical maintenance tasks within the facility
-
Handle administrative duties related to the technical function
-
Identify and mitigate technical risks in the locality
-
Coordinate and supervise work done by on-site contractors
-
Maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders within the technical domain
Education Requirements
Essential: Grade 10 or equivalent technical/vocational qualification
Desired: Grade 12
Certification Requirements
Essential: Valid Driver's License
Desired: Mediclinic Technical Assistant Development Programme
Experience Requirements
Essential: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building maintenance and skilled repairs
Or completion of the Mediclinic Technical Assistant Development Programme
Desired: Not applicable
Skills and Knowledge Required

Practical knowledge of building maintenance and repair

Fault finding and troubleshooting capabilities

Ability to execute planned maintenance according to Mediclinic standards

Understanding of Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental standards (e.g., OHS and ISO)

Ability to read and interpret layout plans and diagrams
-
Skills in general equipment repairs
-
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
