Role Overview
The Handyman is responsible for resolving general maintenance and repair issues across various hotel areas, including hotel rooms, grounds, pools, and security systems. This is a hands-on role requiring skill in basic DIY work, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and decorating.
Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel

Respond to maintenance requests promptly during shifts

Ensure upkeep of hotel infrastructure: rooms, grounds, pools, and security areas

Conduct painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, and decorating tasks

Work independently or as part of a team to complete multiple tasks

Maintain communication with guests and staff in a professional manner
Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12)

1–2 years of handyman/maintenance experience

Additional technical qualifications are advantageous (may influence salary)

Hands-on, problem-solving approach

Ability to work calmly under pressure

Presentable, well-spoken, and detail-oriented
