About the Position
Sandvik Mining, a global leader in mining equipment, tools, services, and technical solutions, is looking for a Warehouse Operator to join its team in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, controlling inventory, coordinating the movement of goods, and ensuring efficient storage and distribution processes.
Key Responsibilities
Account for all materials and supplies within warehouse facilities.
Audit and verify goods received into the warehouse.
Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials in accordance with company procedures.
Prepare and coordinate shipping and receiving schedules to ensure the smooth flow of goods.
Monitor warehouse space utilisation and maintain organised storage systems.
Ensure warehouse equipment and facilities are properly maintained and protected.
Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control processes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse environment.
Develop warehouse processes and improve team performance using Lean methodology.
Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
Advantageous Qualification
Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience
Experience in warehousing and inventory control within a mining environment.
Skills and Competencies
Computer literacy.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
