About the Position
Sandvik Mining, a global leader in mining equipment, tools, services, and technical solutions, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Clerk to join its workshop team in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will provide administrative support, maintain accurate records, capture and update data, and contribute to the smooth operation of workshop activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine administrative duties in line with company procedures.
Accurately capture and update information in databases, spreadsheets, reports, and company systems.
Verify and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain records, logs, and filing systems, both electronic and manual.
Retrieve and compile information for reporting purposes.
Code, sort, and file documents accurately.
Monitor and maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with company standards.
Identify and report discrepancies or data errors.
Respond to internal and external enquiries professionally and promptly.
Assist with documentation control and administrative support within the workshop environment.
Meet daily and weekly data capturing targets and deadlines.
Contribute positively to team objectives and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
Advantageous Qualification
Relevant post-Matric qualification.
Experience
2–3 years' administration experience within a mining environment.
Experience working with databases, filing systems, and data management processes.
Skills and Competencies
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and data integrity.
Professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of electronic business and service processes will be advantageous.
Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
