About the Position
Mediclinic Constantiaberg is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to support nursing staff in delivering safe, quality patient care. The successful candidate will assist with patient-related duties, administrative tasks, stock control, and contribute to a positive healthcare experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Support nursing unit staff in providing quality patient care within a team environment.
Assist in promoting a safe and positive patient experience.
Identify and report risks in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Provide administrative support to the nursing unit as required.
Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.
Ensure stock is used efficiently and accurately charged.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised healthcare environment.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Appropriate qualification as a Care Worker.
Advantageous Qualification
Grade 12 (Matric).
Experience
Previous experience in a healthcare environment is essential.
No additional experience required.
Skills and Competencies
Understanding of patient care principles.
Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
Understanding of patient experience and service delivery standards.
Knowledge of medico-legal risks within a healthcare setting.
Ability to report and document events and tasks accurately.
Understanding of stock control procedures.
