Purpose:
Alignerr is seeking South African English voice actors and voice-over artists to contribute to AI speech training projects. The role involves recording natural, conversational speech to help improve how AI systems understand authentic human voices and diverse accents.
Requirements:
Native or near-native South African English speaker with an authentic accent
Currently based in South Africa
Proven experience in voice acting, voice-over work, or studio recording
Comfortable with conversational and natural-sounding speech delivery
Ability to participate in 2–3 studio sessions (4 hours each)
Professional reliability and ability to follow direction
Skills Needed:
Strong vocal performance and articulation skills
Ability to deliver natural, unscripted-sounding dialogue
Good English communication skills (spoken and understanding direction)
Confidence in solo and dialogue-based recording
Adaptability to tone, pacing, and style adjustments
Background in acting, theatre, podcasting, or broadcasting (advantageous)
Professionalism in studio environments
Key Duties:
Record natural South African English speech in a professional studio
Participate in solo and two-speaker conversational recordings
Follow light creative direction for tone, pacing, and delivery
Produce high-quality, realistic speech samples for AI training use
Contribute to improving AI understanding of human speech patterns
Maintain professionalism throughout recording sessions
Additional Information:
This is a short-term contract role (2–3 studio sessions total)
Weekly payouts offered for completed sessions
Work contributes to AI research and speech model development
No voice cloning involved
Flexible scheduling based on studio availability and project timelines
