Purpose:
Unitrans is looking for an experienced General Worker – Assistant Driver to support warehouse and delivery operations within the Consumer Division at the BP Durban Warehouse. The successful candidate will assist with loading and unloading products, delivery support, housekeeping, and ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4
- Proven experience in warehousing, manufacturing, transport, or logistics environments
- Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Must have reliable transport to and from work
- Clean criminal record
- Medically fit and physically capable of repetitive lifting and manual work
- Ability to follow instructions and work without constant supervision

- Strong physical fitness and stamina
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Good time management and organisational skills

Key Duties:
- Load and unload company products safely and efficiently
- Assist drivers with locating delivery destinations when required
- Report delivery-related issues or challenges to management
- Compile accurate delivery records and reports
- Obtain customer signatures as proof of delivery
- Clean trucks and maintain vehicle cleanliness standards
- Assist with unloading delivery vehicles at the end of shifts
- Perform general housekeeping and warehouse support duties
- Follow all safety procedures and company operational standards
Additional Information:
- Candidates must be physically fit due to the demanding nature of the role
- The position requires flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when required
