Job Overview
Rand Water is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Brush Hand to provide support to the Painter within the Operations division.
The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and painting of plant facilities, buildings, parking areas, road markings, fences, poles, and other infrastructure to ensure all facilities remain safe, presentable, and maintained to Rand Water standards.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent
Minimum 6 months’ job-related experience
Basic painting training
Safety training will be advantageous

Main Responsibilities
Assist Painters with daily maintenance and painting duties
Carry tools and materials to and from work areas
Prepare floors, furniture, and work surfaces for painting
Assemble and prepare scaffolding when required
Apply undercoats and paint according to Rand Water procedures
Fetch materials and supplies from stores
Assist with painting walls, ceilings, and other structures
Clean paint brushes, rollers, and other equipment
Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of work areas
Adhere to safety procedures and workplace regulations at all times
Important Information
Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
The role requires physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks
Strong attention to safety and teamwork is essential
