Purpose of the Role:
To ensure efficient delivery and collection of stock to customers, as well as to assist with various warehouse and store-related duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving Duties:
-
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy
-
Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to the Branch Manager
-
Plan delivery routes for efficiency
-
Load stock accurately according to delivery documentation
-
Submit all delivery paperwork and ensure delivery notes are signed by clients
-
Resolve customer complaints when applicable
-
Maintain a clean delivery vehicle and track service intervals
-
Ensure compliance with road safety and security regulations
-
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
-
Report any issues related to deliveries to the Branch Manager
Stores Assistant Duties:
-
Assist with receiving, handling, quality checking, and packing stock
-
Pick and process orders accurately and sign off picking slips
-
Ensure correct documentation and assist with dispatch
-
Assist customers collecting stock
-
Perform cable cutting, if required
-
Maintain proper stock control and support stocktaking processes
-
Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are met in the stores area
-
Support general warehouse operations under instruction from management
Qualifications and Experience Required:
-
Grade 12 / Matric (compulsory)
-
Valid Code 08 driver’s license (compulsory)
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is advantageous
-
Good product knowledge
-
Familiarity with GPS navigation tools

Understanding of warehouse processes and safety standards

Basic knowledge of stock handling and protective equipment
