Job Purpose
To ensure that all spare parts are received, inspected, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and timeously. The role also includes maintaining stock accuracy, housekeeping standards, and responding to internal and external queries related to spare parts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and pack spare parts into correct bin locations

Check quantity and condition of spares upon receipt

Raise and close off queries with suppliers in a timely manner

Pick spares according to picking lists for branches, sales, and AP orders

Check quantity and condition of picked items

Pack and dispatch spares according to company specifications and instructions
-
Conduct daily and monthly stock counts in line with company procedures
-
Ensure stock availability and accuracy, and report issues to the Spares Advisor/Manager

Present stock for audits and support stock count activities

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area

Consolidate stock and ensure bin accuracy

Enter all stock movements (received/dispatched) into the spares system

Maintain proper recordkeeping, including PODs, IBSTs, and waybills

Respond to branch and supplier queries

Assist technicians/contractors with part numbers

Perform general system maintenance

Carry out additional warehousing and administrative tasks as directed by the Spares Associate, Lead, or Manager
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12
-
Proven experience in a spares, warehousing, or similar environment
-
Good numerical ability
-
Strong communication and computer skills (especially SAP/WMS and Microsoft Office)

A valid Forklift, Reach Truck, or Order Picker driver’s license will be an added advantage
