Position Purpose

Support the Store Manager in the efficient operation of the store by driving sales, building customer loyalty, and ensuring compliance to achieve sales and profit targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and maximize sales via promotional activities, cross-selling, and upselling initiatives.

  • Manage store operations: expenses, stock control, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.

  • Maintain in-store visual merchandising aligned with brand standards.

  • Motivate and manage staff to achieve targets; manage store in the absence of the Store Manager.

  • Maintain staff schedules per labor policies ensuring proper department staffing.

  • Execute customer service initiatives to enhance customer loyalty and club card participation.

  • Manage administrative tasks including employee records and time attendance submissions.

  • Uphold and promote company values to position Clicks as the preferred health and beauty retailer.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (with 50% in Maths and English).

  • Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (essential for external applicants).

  • Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management.

  • Minimum 1 year experience in assistant store management within retail/FMCG or successful completion of Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.

  • Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, ratios).
