Key Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe, healthy, and legally compliant working environment for all employees

Ensure staff are fully informed about health and safety legislation requirements
-
Investigate and report all workplace incidents and vehicle accidents
-
Assist with the development of HIRA, SOPs, and PTOs
-
Perform internal audits and prepare for SHEQ assurance and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
-
Conduct site inspections and ensure legislative and company SHEQ compliance
-
Use Cura system for incident reporting and action management
-
Recommend and verify corrective actions for any non-conformances
-
Monitor contractor SHEQ compliance
-
Participate in SHEQ meetings and complete all required administrative tasks with proper recordkeeping
Qualifications:
-
Grade 12 (Matric), preferably with a technical background
-
National Diploma in SHEQ Management or equivalent (advantageous)
-
SAMTRAC, COMSOC 1 & 2, or equivalent certifications
-
Valid Code B Driver’s License
-
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years' experience in health and safety management
-
Strong understanding of OHS legislation and SHEQ systems
