Role Purpose:

To efficiently engage with clients, resolve their queries in line with service level agreements (SLAs) and regulatory requirements, and contribute to a culture of excellent customer service.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Matric (Essential)

    • Business-related qualification (Desirable)

  • Experience:

    • 2–3 years in a client service or call centre environment

    • Medical scheme industry experience (Preferred)

  • Skills:

    • Bilingual (English + one official South African language)

    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel


Key Responsibilities:

Client Interaction:

  • Handle client and intermediary queries professionally and within SLA timelines.

  • Resolve or escalate complaints and ensure timely feedback to clients.

  • Accurately capture and update client data.

Service & Administration:

  • Complete all administrative tasks and reports on time.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

  • Identify and report service/process issues to improve the client experience.

Relationship Building:

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Offer expert advice and recommendations to enhance service delivery.

  • Support a culture of continuous feedback and improvement.

Professional Development:

  • Stay updated on industry knowledge and compliance.

  • Participate in personal and professional development activities.

  • Contribute to innovation and team collaboration.

Financial Awareness:

  • Support cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.

  • Provide input on risk and resource use within your area of control.
