Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / National Certificate

• Literate and pays attention to detail

• Presentable and customer-service oriented

• Hazchem training accreditation

• Dangerous Goods training accreditation

• Valid Reach Truck license with prior driving experience

Duties and Responsibilities

General Conduct and Compliance

• Maintain a professional image of the company

• Follow all warehouse regulations and company policies

• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety requirements

• Wear required PPE at all times

• Comply with dangerous goods handling standards

• Ensure the Reach Truck is in safe working condition

• Submit to required medical exams, alcohol testing, and security checks

Checking

• Assist with product checking

• Pay close attention to detail during checks

Picking

• Pick the correct products from designated locations

• Perform manual picking from warehouse racks while operating the Reach Truck

• Follow correct procedures and safety standards when performing manual picks

• Prevent product damage during handling

Loading and Offloading

• Load vehicles with picked products

• Assist with drum inversion

• Perform various warehouse functions as needed (multi-skilling)

Time and Attendance

• Follow instructions from supervisors

• Adhere to time and attendance procedures

• Work overtime and rotate shifts as needed

• Check for instructions before clocking out

Reach Truck Operations

• Follow correct operating procedures

• Conduct daily pre- and post-shift inspections

• Check and maintain battery electrolyte levels

• Charge batteries after each shift and rotate as required

• Complete the Reach Truck logbook daily

• Report any defects, damages, or incidents immediately

• Only authorized personnel may operate MHE (Material Handling Equipment)

• Forklift keys are restricted to supervisors and managers

• Suggest improvements for operations and working conditions

Housekeeping

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas

• Keep outside pallet storage neat

• Assist with damaged stock repacking and stock takes

• Be flexible in performing various warehouse tasks as instructed
