Job Summary:
An opportunity exists for a Stock/Stores Controller to coordinate and facilitate pallet movement by implementing management systems that control the pallet pool and reduce loss and damage. The role includes full cost control for all pallets and supervision of the clerical aspects of stores documentation. Responsibilities also include stock supply assessment and requisition processing.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12

Higher Certificate

Full understanding of Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Distribution

Experience with full Chep pallet function
Key Responsibilities:
-
Manage and track the existing pallet pool
-
Implement a pallet management system for accurate tracking and coordination
-
Minimize pallet loss and damage
-
Oversee and maintain pallet count systems
-
Sort and prepare documents for data entry
-
Verify and correct data, ensuring source documents are accurate
-
Match delivery, receiving, dispatch, and security schedules
-
Enter data into computer databases and maintain digital records
-
Generate daily reports (e.g., pallet summary, broken pallets)

Resolve pallet account disputes promptly
-
Store and retrieve records as needed
-
Respond to information requests and print relevant data
-
Maintain office supplies and equipment
-
Produce and submit weekly pallet count reports
-
Handle customer enquiries and complaints (telephonic and digital)

Update and maintain customer databases
-
Persuade customers to return outstanding pallets
-
Identify objections and provide resolutions
