About the Role
The Shift Supervisor will lead tyre fitters by example, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards. You will supervise daily workshop tasks, handle administrative duties, and uphold exceptional customer service standards while developing your managerial skills.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure tyre fitters comply with Otraco Management System (OMS) policies and procedures

Lead and coordinate tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively

Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively to meet operational demands

Perform corrective actions as required by auditors

Mount and strip all types of tyre and wheel/rim assemblies according to procedures

Maintain high service quality for clients through effective team leadership

Assess and identify training needs through competence evaluations

Enforce Occupational Health and Safety procedures, including site “lock-out”/“tag-out” protocols

Maintain workshop equipment and tools
Qualifications & Experience
-
Grade 12 National Senior Certificate
-
Valid driver’s license (Code 08)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in earthmover tyre fitting

Strong supervisory and communication skills

Excellent customer service orientation

Solid understanding of workshop machinery and tools

Attention to detail and responsible for equipment maintenance
