About the Role

AFGRI is seeking a results-driven Branch Manager to lead all operations of a retail branch in Bethal. This position is accountable for profitability, customer service, and operational excellence across all divisions within the branch—aligned to AFGRI’s strategic objectives.


Minimum Requirements

Education & Training:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Business, Finance, or Management (Advantageous)

Work Experience:

  • 3–5 years of management experience in an agricultural retail or Agri trade environment


Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

  • Manage branch operations, staff, finances, and inventory

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation

  • Drive business growth and profitability in line with the department’s plan

  • Lead and support employees to maintain a high-performance culture


Skills & Competencies

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Understanding of agricultural operations and cycles

  • Knowledge of John Deere products and other AFGRI agencies (advantageous)

  • Financial and budgeting skills

  • Strong communication (verbal and written)
