About the Learnership

Heineken Beverages invites applications for a 14-month Learnership in Food & Beverages Packaging Operations, based in Gqeberha. This learnership will provide you with skills and knowledge to operate basic automated food and beverage packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Key Learning Outcomes

Understand basic machine operations
Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) within HACCP systems
Apply quality control in food/sensitive consumer product operations
Complete 3 Workplace Observations on:
- Washing
- Filling
- Sealing
- Labelling
- Palletizing
- Depalletizing
Perform first-line maintenance
Apply problem-solving techniques
Demonstrate effective communication and use of information
Demonstrate basic Mathematics skills
Attend classroom sessions and achieve a minimum 70% pass rate per subject

Minimum Requirements

Must be unemployed at the time of application
Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and English
Prior experience in a high-speed packaging/production environment is advantageous
Knowledge of safe working procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Physically fit for packaging work
Willing to work shifts and overtime if required
Must comply with the Heineken Beverages Code of Business Conduct
