Job Overview

AECI Plant Health is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Customer Services Co-ordinator to support its operations team. The successful candidate will manage stock requests, coordinate orders, facilitate customer communication, and ensure efficient service delivery within the agricultural chemical industry.

This role is critical in maintaining strong relationships between internal teams, suppliers, depots, and Crop Advisors — ensuring seamless stock movement and exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to stock requests from Crop Advisors and depots.

  • Accurately place and expedite orders with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery.

  • Communicate proactively with Crop Advisors and depot personnel regarding stock status.

  • Manage buying functions — placing purchase orders (POs), sending orders to suppliers, and following up on progress.

  • Monitor and report on excess stock at Crop Advisor warehouses.

  • Follow up on GRNs, direct deliveries, and stock transfers (GITs).

  • Participate in stock takes and maintain accurate records.

  • Handle and process stock returns (drawbacks).

  • Perform relief support for other team members when needed.

  • Maintain accurate filing, scanning, and documentation of all paperwork.

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, ensuring full communication and resolution reporting to management.

  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) regulations.

  • Maintain good housekeeping standards within work areas.

  • Undertake ad hoc duties as directed by the Warehouse Team Leader or Management.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric) required.

  • Diploma in Logistics, Procurement, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, production, or distribution (preferably in the agricultural chemical industry).

  • Proven track record in customer service excellence.

  • General knowledge of agricultural chemical products and their applications.


Technical & Administrative Skills

  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Working knowledge of Syspro (essential).

  • Familiarity with SAP and .NET systems (advantageous).

  • Knowledge of hazardous chemical and road transport legislation.

  • Understanding of SHEQ Management Systems is advantageous.
