Role Purpose

To execute timely and high-quality planned, preventative, and emergency maintenance tasks across general building infrastructure and equipment, ensuring optimal operational functionality and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks per job cards retrieved from the Archibus system, in line with company and client expectations

  • Diagnose and restore malfunctioning equipment

  • Conduct minor electrical equipment and appliance repairs as per SLA

  • Perform general building tasks including:

    • Furniture installation and office moves

    • Shopfitting

    • Door, lock, window repairs

    • Ceiling, carpet tile replacement

    • Painting

  • Perform minor plumbing repairs and services

  • Conduct Tier 1 inspections and light maintenance on air-conditioning equipment

  • Inspect and report on fire and access control equipment (extinguishers, hose reels, detectors, etc.)

  • Assist Artisans with major repairs

  • Provide consistent progress updates to management on work status

  • Log and close service calls in the Archibus CAFM system within SLA timeframes

  • Supervise daily operations of cleaners, recyclers, and hygiene staff

  • Complete and update monthly PPM checklists in CAFM


Qualifications & Requirements

  • N3 in Technical (Electrical or Mechanical)

  • Matric (Senior Certificate)

  • Valid South African Driver’s License

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in general maintenance/handyman tasks

  • Basic training in hand tools and mechanical/electrical equipment

  • Computer literacy: MS Office, Outlook, Archibus CAFM

  • Knowledge of the OHS Act and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
