Job Purpose
The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has opportunities for two (2) competent individuals to implement operational procedures and ensure effective administration for employee appointments and compensation.
Minimum Requirements
-
Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification).

A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
Recommendations
-
Working knowledge of appointments and compensation processes.
-
PERSAL certification.
-
Experience in acting allowances and complex calculations, including OSD.
Key Responsibilities
-
Supervise and manage complex human resource administrative processes.
-
Handle appointments, payroll matters, promotions, transfers, secondments, and acting appointments.
-
Verify qualifications and manage HR-related enquiries.
-
Motivate, train, and guide staff.
-
Administer acting with remuneration requests in line with policy.
Competencies Required
-
Knowledge of relevant HR legislation (Public Service Amendment Act, Public Service Regulations, COIDA, Labour Relations Act).

Registry practices and data capturing skills.
-
PERSAL system knowledge.
-
Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-
Excellent communication, leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
-
Ability to analyze and implement policies and resolve conflicts.
