Job Purpose

The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide administrative support to the Senior Manager and Component.

Minimum Requirements

  • An appropriate 1-2 year post-Matric Certificate (or higher qualification).

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support services.

  • Support the manager with meeting preparations and arrangements.

  • Assist with budget administration.

  • Analyze Public Service and departmental policies to ensure proper application.

Competencies Required

  • Knowledge of customer service principles and quality control.

  • Understanding of public administration and information management.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven computer literacy (MS Office).

  • Skills in strategic thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, planning, and organizing.

  • Ability to remain citizen-focused and responsive.
