Job Overview

Premier FMCG is looking for a Despatch Clerk to join the Despatch Department at BRB Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the despatch process, including stock receiving, capturing, invoicing, and other administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and capture stock from bakeries.
  • Process and capture invoices accurately.
  • Assist with customer complaints related to despatch.
  • Verify stock figures by checking physical stock against system records.
  • Supervise despatch staff and ensure proper workflow.
  • Check and verify stock loaded onto trucks against picking slips.
  • Generate accurate reports for management.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • 6-day workweek, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays as required.
  • Handling customer complaints when necessary.
  • Team-oriented role requiring strong coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
  • Computer literate (experience with in-house systems like DRM, GP2018 is an advantage).

Experience:

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment.

  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Numerical ability for stock reconciliation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
