Job Overview

A leading financial services provider is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join their team. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing foreign exchange transactions efficiently and professionally while ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process foreign exchange transactions accurately.
  • Verify customer documentation to ensure legal compliance and detect potential fraud.
  • Manage own stock to ensure accurate balancing.
  • Stay updated with foreign exchange regulations and the ICFX system.
  • Uphold the company’s brand and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Continuously develop professional skills through training and assessments.

Internal & External Liaison

  • Internal: Work closely with branch staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • External: Assist customers with foreign exchange transactions professionally.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent (Essential).
  • Mukuru Forex Consultant training course (Advantageous).
  • Must pass competency tests and assignments (Essential).
  • At least 1 year of Customer Service experience (Essential).
  • Foreign exchange experience (Desirable).

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of foreign currencies and exchange control regulations.
  • Understanding of FICA regulations.
  • Familiarity with the ICFX system.
  • Strong computer, telephone, and administrative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
