Job Opportunity: Junior Clerk – OB and OBX Payments

Purpose of the Role
The role involves the administration of OB and OBX premiums, ensuring accurate allocation, efficient handling of refunds, and excellent client service. The Junior Clerk will also assist with data capturing, scanning, and responding to queries while supporting senior clerks with report preparation.
Key Responsibilities
OB and OBX Premiums Management:
- Apply OB and OBX premiums to relevant policies.
- Issue refunds for OB and OBX payments as required.
- Send SMS notifications for unallocated OB and OBX payments.
- Liaise with branches to resolve unallocated OB and OBX payments.
- Assist in preparing internet bank statements.
Data Capturing:
- Record daily correspondence on the system mail register.
- Process deposit slips received for policy payments.
Scanning and Record Management:
- Scan and save all hand receipts received from the Settlement Administration Department.
Client Queries:
- Respond promptly to telephonic and written requests within agreed timelines.
- Address Vodacom SMS call requests.
- Resolve queries from internal and external clients effectively.
Reporting:
- Prepare reports to track and allocate payments accurately.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Grade 12 qualification.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of administrative experience.
Required Skills and Attributes
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, including data capturing and report preparation.
- Familiarity with payment allocation and refund processes.
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage client interactions professionally.
Personal Attributes:
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
