Purpose of the Role
Midas Welkom is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Person to join their team. The role focuses on exceeding sales targets while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Service:
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, delivering professional and confident service.
- Achieve sales targets set by the Sales, Branch, or Retail Manager.
- Handle counter sales and maximize customer potential.
- Respond to inbound customer inquiries with quotations, product, and service details.
- Cold call prospective customers when required.
- Build and strengthen relationships with customers to increase market share.
Operational and Reporting Tasks:
- Plan, forecast, and report on sales potentials by customer.
- Report competitor pricing, activities, and customer-related issues (delivery, telesales, account problems).
- Ensure all revenue targets are met and new business is generated by growing the customer base.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Matric qualification.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in a sales environment related to spares, motors, or engines (essential).
Required Skills and Attributes
Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of automotive sales and customer needs.
- Desirable technical background with proven product knowledge.
- Business acumen, including cost and breakeven analysis for customer service delivery.
Communication and Relationship-Building:
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to strengthen customer relationships.
- Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
- Fluent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Personal Attributes:
- Self-motivated, honest, and with integrity.
- A good team player who can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Thorough understanding of the geographical area of responsibility.
- Clear criminal record.
