Requirements
Applicants must have:
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) or equivalent qualification.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good presentation skills.
Computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, or SCM Systems.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good numeracy skills.
Basic financial management skills.
Knowledge of SAP, SRM, SCM and government policies, including PFMA.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Recording stock received and stock issued accurately on the relevant stock cards (VA 11 and VA 10).
Checking stock expiry dates and shelf dates regularly.
Conducting monthly spot checks to identify and rectify discrepancies.
Conducting monthly inventory counts.
Keeping stock neatly packed on shelves.
Applying FIFO and FEFO methods when receiving and issuing stock.
Calculating minimum and maximum stock levels for the new financial year.
Barcoding and allocating new assets to different areas.
Conducting monthly reconciliations for new assets.
Reporting lost assets to the Loss Committee.
Capturing Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs).
Cleaning the web cycle and liaising with suppliers.
Updating the monthly acquisition spreadsheet.
Participating in stocktaking twice a year.
Executing lawful instructions from the supervisor or delegated authority.
Preparing monthly asset reports.
Conducting asset verification.
