Job Advert Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Worker – Assistant to assist truck drivers with the loading and offloading of trucks.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised working environment and performing various general duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Medically fit.
Reliable and responsible.
Able to work safely and ensure that all safety requirements are adhered to.
Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Clean criminal record.
Must have own reliable transport to and from work.
Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used for cleaning.
Physically able to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, including proper storage and disposal methods.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent organisational skills.
Self-motivated and able to identify and complete required tasks without direct supervision.
Ability to carry out all reasonable instructions from the Supervisor.
Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist truck drivers with loading and/or offloading of trucks.
Ensure outside walkways remain clear and free of debris.
Notify building management of any repairs or maintenance requirements.
Clean and maintain the entire premises.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Perform ad hoc duties as required by the Supervisor.
Ensure that all assigned tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
