Pharmacy Sales Assistant Job Opportunity
Medirite Plus Soshanguve is looking for a Pharmacy Sales Assistant to join its team in Pretoria, Gauteng.
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, hardworking and committed to providing excellent service in a busy retail pharmacy environment.
The successful candidate will assist customers, support daily store operations, maintain the sales floor and ensure that customers receive helpful product advice. The role will also involve monitoring customer activity, maintaining visual displays and processing payments and refunds.
Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Sales Assistant, your duties will include:
Greeting customers and providing friendly, professional customer service.
Identifying customers' needs and recommending products that meet those needs.
Monitoring customer activity to help prevent shoplifting.
Processing customer payments accurately using the store's Point of Sale (POS) system.
Handling payments and balancing sales and receipts according to company procedures.
Processing customer refunds in accordance with company procedures.
Restocking products and maintaining an organised sales floor.
Organising the sales floor according to standard operating procedures.
Keeping up to date with new products and maintaining product knowledge.
Providing customers with appropriate product advice and recommendations.
Conducting regular price audits and identifying and correcting price discrepancies.
Staying informed about promotions and special offers.
Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
Ensuring proper housekeeping throughout the store.
Responding to customer queries promptly and professionally.
Escalating customer queries or concerns to higher management when necessary.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Pharmacy Sales Assistant position, applicants must have:
Grade 12 qualification.
At least 5 months' Point of Sale (POS) / till-point experience within a retail environment.
Proven retail sales experience.
Good customer service and communication skills.
The ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment.
